The Refuge House Transitional Housing Program provides confidential, safe housing to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, prostitution and sex trafficking, and to their children, for up to two and a half years.

Our transitional program can assist you in meeting your individual goals in the areas of housing, transportation, physical and mental well-being, education and career options and, where needed, immigration issues and child services.

Transitional housing may be provided at one of our three program sites:

  • The “Safe Haven”site features rooms located within the Emergency Shelter, and is a wonderful site for survivors and families needing 24-hour crisis intervention and the highest level of site security.
  • The “360”site features family rooms and apartments within a community living house. This site is perfect for survivors and families who want to benefit from strong support from other survivors, case management assistance, and a rich menu of educational, wellness, and personal interest groups.
  • Our most community-based site is the “Townhome Village,” where independent living is combined with Refuge House activities, events and supportive counseling services.

The program meets the needs of survivors for whom independence is achievable within a supportive setting. Program fees are nominal. Please contact our hotline if you are interested in applying for our transitional program. We look forward to meeting you!
